Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has warned his teammates that they will need to be on top form to deal with Real Madrid in Wednesday's Champions League Group A match in Paris.
Both PSG and Real have collected six points from their two group matches thus far and it is widely thought that the pair will battle it out for first position in the section.
Ahead of their meeting later this week, Cavani has branded Real Madrid a team full of "outstanding players who are capable of making you pay in seconds".
"It's always special, it's a great competition to be playing in, because you get to pit yourself against the very best, against clubs with great history," Cavani told Marca.
"It's always a great occasion when you face Real and we're preparing for the match in the best way possible. One of the things that makes the best teams in the world the best is the fact that, across midfield and up top, they are capable of hurting you.
"It's always an honour to play in games like this one, they have some outstanding players who are capable of making you pay in seconds. I think that you have to be switched on for the full 90 minutes against this sort of team, you've always got to be mindful of the opposition and their players."
PSG have won two of the previous four European meetings between the two teams and have also never lost to Real Madrid in Paris.
