Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol believes that the side can still complete a cup double this season, despite their poor performance in La Liga.
The Spanish champions moved up to second in the league with a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday evening.
They still trail leaders Barcelona by 13 points, but Albiol believes that the side can still claim a successful season by targeting the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
"Winning the league is practically out of the question but we are still in with a good chance in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League," Albiol told reporters.
"We have been strong in both competitions. We have to focus on both of those competitions. We are really suffering on the road in the league. We have to aim for a second-placed finish.
"Tonight we didn't start well but later on, we had a lot of chances."
Madrid face their local rivals Atletico in the Copa del Rey final on May 17, with the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League taking place on Friday.
