Pepe claims that Real Madrid were better than rivals Barcelona during their 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp.

Real Madrid defender Pepe has said that Los Blancos were the "superior" side following their 4-3 aggregate defeat at the Nou Camp last night.

Jose Mourinho's men were 4-1 down after Dani Alves and Pedro put the home side ahead. However, second-half strikes from Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo pulled them back to within one goal of a win.

"Today, we were very superior to Barca," he said.

"We are proud of what we did and of what we have. The fans are also proud. We showed the true 'Madridista' spirit, the spirit of a great group.

"I hope that this week everything that happened during this match will be debated."

Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has said that his side were deserved winners over two legs.
