Zinedine Zidane "happy" for son Enzo Zidane's first Real Madrid goal

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says that seeing his eldest son Enzo Zidane score on his first-team debut made the head coach "happy".

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has said that it made him "happy" to see his son Enzo Zidane net on his first-team debut for the Spanish giants on Wednesday night.

Enzo Zidane was introduced by his father at the interval of the Copa del Rey clash with Cultural Leonesa, which Real Madrid won 6-1 to secure a 13-2 aggregate success and book their spot in the next round.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored his team's fourth on the night and while Zidane was pleased, the Los Blancos head coach was keen to rule out any special privileges for his eldest son.

"As a parent and coach, I'm happy for his goal, but I'm also happy for everything we've done tonight (Wednesday)," Zidane told reporters. "Most importantly, we've achieved our objective, we played well and won the game.

"I'm happy, of course, as a parent for my son, but that lasts for two seconds. When I talk alone with him, I'll tell him a few things, but as a coach I think about the entirety, with respect to our opponents and all the players who got minutes."

Zidane's three other sons - Luca, Theo and Elyaz - also represent Real Madrid in various age groups.
