Zinedine Zidane excited about first El Clasico as Real Madrid coach

Zinedine Zidane says that he will "enjoy" his first El Clasico showdown with Barcelona as Real Madrid head coach.

Zinedine Zidane has said that he is looking forward to his first El Clasico showdown with Barcelona as Real Madrid head coach.

Zidane is hoping to lead Real to their first league win at Camp Nou for four years in what is the 231st meeting between the Spanish giants.

Barca currently have the bragging rights after a convincing 4-0 win in the reverse at the Bernabeu.

"We're in a good moment and we need to take advantage of that. We've prepared well," Zidane told reporters.

"For a player the Clasicos are the nicest thing in football. Now I'm going to experience it as a coach. It's my first, I'm happy and I'm going to enjoy it."

Madrid need a win if they are to stand a chance of catching Barca at the top of the table. With eight games of the season to go, Real are third and ten points behind Barca.
