Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leganes

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of next week's La Liga clash with Leganes at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid return to domestic action with a La Liga clash against Leganes at the Bernabeu next week.

Zinedine Zidane's men will be determined to bounce back following a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Mallorca in their last league game.

However, pressure has been eased on the Madrid boss following his side's first win of this season's Champions League campaign against Galatasaray in Istanbul on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest injury and suspension news for Los Blancos ahead of the game.

Marco Asensio

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The Spaniard has not played a single minute this season due to a knee ligament injury sustained over the summer, with no timescale yet available for when he may return.

Nacho

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Nacho will be out until at least late December after suffering a knee injury during the club's 2-2 draw with Club Brugge earlier this month.

Gareth Bale

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Leganes)

The Welshman picked up a calf problem while on international duty with Wales this month and was left out of the squad to face Galatasaray, although this was only thought to have been precautionary, meaning that he is likely to return against Leganes.

Luka Modric

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Leganes)

Much like Bale, the Croat picked up a strain over the international break and missed the games against Mallorca and Galatasaray, but he should return to the squad in time for next week's clash at the Bernabeu.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 30 (vs. Leganes)

Vazquez has not featured for Madrid since the start of the month due to a calf problem but resumed training with the Los Blancos squad on Sunday, giving the attacking midfielder just over a week to recover full fitness ahead of this game.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Alvaro Odriozola

Return date: November 2 (vs. Real Betis)

The defender will serve a one-game domestic ban after picking up a second yellow card against Mallorca for a sacrificial challenge as Madrid were defending a counterattack.
