Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's El Clasico showdown with Real Madrid.

Barcelona head into their latest El Clasico showdown with Real Madrid looking to earn bragging rights over their fierce rivals heading into the Christmas period.

While neither team have produced their best form this season, the result of Wednesday night's clash could prove decisive in the La Liga title race.

The Catalan giants were held to a 2-2 draw by Real Sociedad on Saturday, which ended their run of seven successive wins in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting at Camp Nou.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Getafe)

Dembele was ruled out for 10 weeks after sustaining a thigh injury in the 3-1 win over former club Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League at the end of last month. The Frenchman will hope to be back in contention for the first leg of the knockout stages.

Arthur

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: Unknown

A report has suggested that making the decision to snowboard while on holiday has contributed to Arthur's absence from the first-team squad. Having missed three games in succession, it is unlikely that the Brazilian will return for Wednesday's fixture.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for this fixture.
