Real Madrid's record-signing Gareth Bale has said that his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly the best player in the world.
Ronaldo has scored 66 goals in all competitions in 2013, including 32 this season, and Bale believes that there are no other contenders for the FIFA Ballon d'Or.
"For me, Cristiano is the best player in the world and I don't think anybody is near him right now," Bale told The Mirror.
"The goals and performances he has put in, and the pressure he was under for Portugal, shows what a true world-class player he is. For me, he is undoubtedly the best player in the world and he deserves that award.
"Since I've been here, he's been nothing short of unbelievable. I don't think he's scored less than two goals a game since I've been at the club. The amount of goals he's scored is mind-blowing."
Ronaldo and Bale both scored in Madrid's 5-0 victory over Almeria in La Liga yesterday.
