Gareth Bale to miss Valencia clash

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says that Gareth Bale will miss the game against Valencia with a calf strain.

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Gareth Bale will not feature for Real Madrid against Valencia tomorrow.

The Welshman was injured during a training session earlier this week, keeping him out of the team's Copa del Rey win over Olimpic de Xativa on Wednesday.

"The injury he has is just a knock. It is not a serious injury, but he won't be available for tomorrow. He hasn't had the necessary time to recover," the manager said, according to NDTV Sports.

Real head into the game five points adrift of league leaders Barcelona.
