Luis Enrique has demanded an investigation be opened into claims of an assistant referee being asked to make 'favourable calls' for Real Madrid in next month's El Clasico.
Sports lawyer Jacinto Vicente Hernandez recently revealed that he was approached by an official who claims that he was asked to make decisions that would benefit the home side during El Clasico on November 21.
Vicente Hernandez reportedly took the information to the police, leading the Barcelona manager to ask for an investigation to be opened about the claims.
"They are very surprising claims. This is unpleasant news and we hope these claims will be investigated," Enrique said at a news conference on Saturday.
"I am not going to make any further comments on this as it is hard enough for the referees to officiate a game as it is.
"But this will have to be investigated. If this is true, something will have to be done."
The officials for the match will not be announced until a week before the game takes place.
