Iker Casillas still believes in himself

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says that he still has faith in his own ability, despite losing his place to Diego Lopez.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has said that he still has complete faith in his own ability, despite falling down the pecking order at Santiago Bernabeu.

Casillas lost his place to Diego Lopez under former coach Jose Mourinho last season, and has yet to be reinstated under current boss Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the World Cup winner has said that he does not doubt his own quality and backed himself to return.

"If people make you doubt yourself then you've had it," Casillas told reporters.

"I think that believing in yourself is what is most important; never doubting yourself and never letting anyone else make you doubt yourself.

"If you have done it before, why can't you do it again."

Casillas could be recalled for tomorrow's Champions League tie with Copenhagen.
