Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has passed his best wishes to Barcelona defender Eric Abidal.
It was revealed on Thursday that the France international requires a liver transplant, having had a tumour removed from the organ last year.
"We all know that we are all together. Our players will show it this morning, without words, without public demonstrations," Mourihno told reporters at a press conference.
"There is no Real Madrid or Barca, no colours, just a young man who everyone hopes will have a fantastic life.
"Abidal is a fantastic guy, who has had a great career. If he can play again, wonderful, you have to applaud him. If he cannot because it is very serious, we just have to wish him a long and happy life."
Abidal joined Barca in 2007 from Lyon.
