Report: Rafael Benitez to build Real Madrid around Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale will be central to the Real Madrid team next season if Rafael Benitez takes control at the Bernabeu, according to a report.

Rafael Benitez will reportedly build his team around Gareth Bale, should the Spaniard be appointed the new Real Madrid manager.

Benitez, who is currently in charge of Napoli, is the firm favourite to take the hotseat at the Bernabeu following the Spanish club's decision to dismiss Carlo Ancelotti.

According to The Mirror, should Benitez take control, he will use Bale in a central position and attempt to rebuild the Welshman's relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bale, who has been linked with a return to the Premier League, failed to produce his best form during the 2014-15 season, but via Twitter on Monday, appeared to confirm that he will remain with Real Madrid this summer.
