Lucas Vasquez hoping for Barcelona scalp

On-loan Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vasquez reveals that he is desperate to help Espanyol beat Barcelona on Saturday.

Lucas Vasquez has admitted that he is desperate to help Espanyol overcome Barcelona in their La Liga clash this weekend.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at the Catalan outfit from Real Madrid, who trail Barca by two points in Spain's top flight.

Vasquez is focused on the game from Espanyol's point of view, but he has admitted that there is an extra incentive due to his parent club.

"The game arrives at a crucial moment. We want to win and if we help Madrid, then even better. But we just have to do our job, which is go to for the three points," he told reporters.

As it stands, Vasquez will return to Real Madrid this summer.
