Zinedine Zidane: 'I already have the players I need'

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane insists that he and his players are united as they attempt to put together a winning run.

Zinedine Zidane has insisted that he is not disheartened by Real Madrid's quiet transfer window as he is already content with the players available to him.

Despite a dreadful campaign that has seen them slip out of the Copa del Rey early on and trail La Liga leaders Barcelona by 19 points, Los Blancos decided against bringing in some fresh faces in January.

Madrid do still remain in Champions League contention, though, seeking to retain the title for a third time following triumphs in 2016 and 2017.

Zidane has now challenged his players to step up and end the campaign on a high, with plenty still left to play for between now and June.

"It's time to get to work," he told reporters at his pre-Levante press conference. "In my first year we had three weeks to work and we did very well, we improved a lot."Now we have to do the same; strength, resistance...

"We are all together at a difficult moment. I have always noticed that my players are concentrated and get stuck in, and I trust my staff, blindly. What I have here is already is my workforce."

Madrid have won half of their eight games in all competitions since the mid-season winter break.
