Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wins FIFA Best Coach award

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is named FIFA Best Coach of 2017 following a historic season at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been crowned FIFA Best Coach of 2017 following a historic season for the Spanish club.

The 45-year-old has been presented with the gong in a ceremony in London for guiding Los Blancos to back-to-back Champions League crowns for the first time.

The former France international, who spent five years playing for the Spanish outfit in his career, helped Madrid win their first La Liga title in five years and also won the Spanish Super Cup last season.

Zidane took the award ahead of Antonio Conte, who was in the running as a result of winning the Premier League with Chelsea in his first season in charge of the West London outfit.

The Madrid boss is the first individual to win both the Ballon d'Or as a player and a FIFA Best award.
