David Alaba has reportedly turned down Bayern Munich's latest contract offer in a possible transfer boost for Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Austria international, who has spent 12 seasons at the Allianz Arena, is due to be out of contract at the end of the campaign.
A public spat recently broke out between Alaba's father and former Bayern president Uli Hoeness regarding negotiations over a new deal.
Spanish outlet Marca claims that, as things stand, the versatile defender will not be putting pen to paper on fresh terms before next summer.
Barca and Madrid have been tipped to move for Alaba, with the La Liga giants both in the market for a new left-back.
The same report indicates that Juventus may also join the race for the 28-year-old next year.
