Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has given the clearest indication yet that defender Sergio Ramos will sign a new contract with the club.
The 28-year-old has been regularly linked with a move away from the European champions, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all said to be monitoring his situation.
However, despite rumours of Ramos being unhappy with life at Real, Ancelotti has suggested that a new deal is on the horizon.
The Italian is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "He is a player who is always motivated and focused. His importance for the team grows bigger with each day that passes and I don't think that he's worried about his contract renewal.
"That is not my concern nor is it my area of expertise.
"There are players who wear the same jersey their whole careers. That can be said about [Iker] Casillas, Cristiano [Ronaldo], as well as for Ramos."
Ramos joined Los Blancos from Sevilla in 2005.
