Franz Beckenbauer has said that Sami Khedira is a natural leader who belongs at Bayern Munich.
Honorary Bayern president Beckenbauer was disappointed with the way in which Munich's season ended and wants players like Khedira to make the difference.
He told newspaper TZ: "Khedira is one of those prototypes - one who is prepared to sacrifice himself for the sake of the team, and you really need players like that in your team.
"But you don't just get players like them so easily. Khedira has matured into a real leader and players like him are a rare commodity nowadays."
Khedira has been a huge success since moving to Real Madrid and is considered highly unlikely to leave Spain this summer.
