Rio Ferdinand: 'Toni Kroos will help Real Madrid regain La Liga'

Former England international Rio Ferdinand lavishes praise on Toni Kroos, who is expected to complete a move to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich this week.

Former England international Rio Ferdinand believes that Real Madrid's imminent signing of Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos will help the capital outfit regain the La Liga title next season.

Kroos is expected to pen a long-term deal with Los Blancos this week, and Ferdinand believes that the signing will help Madrid win more silverware.

"If Toni Kroos signs for Real Madrid they will win the league again & minimum semi's in CL....him alongside Modric though," Ferdinand, who left Manchester United on a free transfer this summer, tweeted.

Madrid won the Champions League and Copa del Rey last season, but lost out to capital rivals Atletico Madrid in the Spanish league.
