Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale is not interested in joining Newcastle United this summer, according to a report.

Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale is reportedly not open to joining Newcastle United this summer.

The Magpies could soon become comfortably the richest side in the Premier League as a Saudi consortium attempt to buy the club from Mike Ashley.

The prospective new owners of the English outfit have allegedly identified Bale as a potential target during this summer's transfer window.

However, according to AFP, the 30-year-old has no interest in moving to St James's Park ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Bale, who has a contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2022, has only scored twice in 14 La Liga appearances for Zinedine Zidane's side this season.

The Wales international could allegedly be allowed to leave Madrid for nothing this summer as the capital giants are keen to free up his substantial wages.
