Real Madrid wonderkid Takefusa Kubo is reportedly set for a season-long loan switch to Mallorca.
Real Valladolid were also interested in the Japanese midfielder, but the newly-promoted La Liga side appear to have won the race for his signature.
Kubo, 18, caught the eye during pre-season after his move from J-League side FC Tokyo, but will now continue his development and seek regular playing time with the island club, according to the La Sexta.
He spent four years in Barcelona's famed La Masia youth academy but had to leave when the club was sanctioned for breaching rules involving signing minors.
The teenager has now returned to Spain with the other La Liga giants and will hope to make a name for himself alongside a crop of young talent on Los Blancos' books including Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Martin Odegaard.
