Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho expresses his anger towards speculation linking his club with a move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has responded angrily to reports linking his club with a move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Speculation over the last couple of days has suggested that Mourinho was willing to offer Gonzalo Higuain as part of the deal to take Aguero to the Bernabeu.

However, Mourinho has described the stories as "false" and went on to accuse the Spanish media of trying to "destabilise" Madrid's bid for domestic and European glory.

"The front cover of [Spanish daily newspaper] AS is false," he told reporters. "If you want me to comment on false front covers then forget it."

Mourinho's team are currently six points clear of Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.
