Real Madrid 'lining up move for the new Raphael Varane'

Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating a move for Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile, a player dubbed 'the next Raphael Varane'.

Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring the development of Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile.

Given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has suggested that the club will not be active during the summer transfer window.

However, according to AS, that has not stopped the La Liga champions from identifying Badiashile as a future signing.

The 19-year-old, who has been dubbed 'the next Raphael Varane', has already made 43 appearances for Monaco in all competitions.

The centre-back is valued in the region of £35m, while the prospect still has four years remaining on his contract.

Nevertheless, Monaco may be willing to cash in on the youngster after failing to qualify for Europe.
