The Republic of Ireland have a 1-0 lead against Latvia in their international friendly at the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland could have taken an early lead through James McCarthy, but his shot from outside the box was blocked.
The home side continued on the front foot and Robbie Keane had a great chance to grab the opener when a free kick fell at his feet. However, the striker hit his attempt straight at Andris Vanins.
Following more pressure, Ireland made their dominance count with a headed goal from Keane.
Keane then nearly doubled his and Ireland's tally for the evening. He picked up the ball just outside the box, before running at goal and curling a shot that forced the goalkeeper to get down low and save.
James McClean ran down the wing and made his way into the box but lost composure with his shot and dragged it wide.
Latvia, meanwhile, struggled to create any sort of chance in the opening 45 minutes.
