Republic of Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni has named his team for tomorrow's World Cup qualifier against Germany.

Nottingham Forest's Simon Cox has been selected alongside Stoke City star Jonathan Walters. Robbie Keane has not recovered from an Achilles complaint.

Trapattoni has opted to line up in a traditional 4-4-2 formation, with James McCarthy and Keith Andrews forming the central midfield partnership.

Darren O'Dea and John O'Shea start in the heart of defence, while Seamus Coleman has been given a chance at right-back.
