Half-Time Report: Seydou Doumbia, Alessandro Florenzi give Roma lead

Roma lead 2-0 against Sassuolo at half time in Serie A, putting them on course for a first win in four league games.

Roma are on course to claim their first victory in four Serie A matches as they lead 2-0 against Sassuolo at half time.

The Giallorossi took the lead in the sixth minute when Miralem Pjanic's cross found the head of Seydou Doumbia, and the Ivorian directed the ball into the net.

Roma continued to pile on the pressure, with Vasilis Torosidis and Pjanic both sending shots off target.

Alessandro Florenzi doubled Roma's lead in the 28th minute, powering the ball into the top-left corner from the edge of the penalty area.

Nicola Sansone nearly replied for Sassuolo immediately, beating two defenders before seeing his shot saved by Morgan De Sanctis.
