Steve Evans: 'Jordan Bowery finding his feet at Rotherham United'

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans believes that Jordan Bowery is finally adapting well to life in the Championship.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has praised the recent progress of striker Jordan Bowery.

The 23-year-old joined the Millers for a club-record fee from Aston Villa last summer, but has only made eight starts for the club since.

In 34 total appearances, Bowery has scored five goals, one of which was Rotherham's late equaliser against Norwich City on Saturday.

"I think in the last month or two Jordan has been getting better," Evans told reporters ahead of Rotherham's crunch game against Reading tomorrow. "He's adapting to life in the Championship."

Following a recent three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player, Rotherham are only a point above the Championship's relegation zone.

However, they have a game in hand on the sides below them and will secure their safety and relegate Millwall and Wigan Athletic if they overcome Reading.

"We have to turn up and produce a huge performance to get us what will be a huge result," added Evans.

Rotherham were beaten 3-0 in the reverse by Reading in November.
