Rotherham United have broken their club-record transfer fee to sign striker Jordan Bowery from Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Millers.
He joined Villa from Chesterfield two years ago for £500,000, going on to make eight starts in the Premier League under Paul Lambert.
"He is a workhorse with good technique and he has outstanding ability in the air," Millers boss Steve Evans told the club website.
"He is also very quick and if people thought that Kieran Agard was quick then wait until you see Jordan Bowery in full stride."
Bowery is newly-promoted Rotherham's fifth signing of the summer and comes a day after the addition of Scottish defender Kirk Broadfoot.
