Rotherham United sign goalkeeper Lee Camp on free transfer

Rotherham United sign goalkeeper Lee Camp on a free transfer after his Bournemouth contract was terminated by mutual consent earlier today.

Rotherham United have signed goalkeeper Lee Camp on a free transfer, the club have confirmed.

The 31-year-old joined Bournemouth in January 2014, but had his contract terminated by mutual consent earlier today after being pushed down the pecking order by Artur Boruc and Adam Federici.

Camp's arrival at the New York Stadium has seen loanee Kelle Roos return to Derby County.

Speaking to the club's website, Millers manager Steve Evans said: "I am delighted that we have been able to secure the services of such an experienced Championship goalkeeper.

"The lad played against the Millers on three occasions last season and our supporters will have seen it first hand the qualities he possesses.

"Lee had a number of options presented to him from other Championship clubs, but after much consideration he has decided that his future lies at the AESSEAL New York Stadium."

Camp has made nine international appearances for Northern Ireland.
