Mihajlovic coy on Eto'o move

Sinisa Mihajlovic refuses to comment on reports that Sampdoria are close to signing Everton forward Samuel Eto'o.

Sampdoria head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has refused to confirm whether his club are any closer to securing a deal for Everton forward Samuel Eto'o.

The Cameroonian, who only joined the Toffees on a free transfer in the summer, has fallen down the pecking order under Roberto Martinez recently, and he has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe.

However, Sampdoria are believed to be in pole position to secure his services, despite Mihajlovic's eagerness to not comment on speculation.

"I don't talk about Eto'o because he's not our player yet", the Serbian told Sky Sport Italia.

Reports this weekend have suggested that Everton could save as much as £6m in wages by allowing Eto'o to leave Goodison Park.
