Schalke 04 beat Stuttgart 3-0 at the Veltins-Arena to go fifth in the Bundesliga.

Schalke 04 have moved up to fifth in the Bundesliga thanks to a 3-0 win over Stuttgart at the Veltins-Arena.

Julian Draxler set up Jefferson Farfan for the opening goal in the 34th minute, before winning the penalty that allowed the Peruvian to double his tally two minutes after the break.

The points were made safe by Jermaine Jones in the 79th minute.

The result means that Die Knappen have now won five of their last seven league games, leaving them one point behind fourth-placed Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, the visitors have won just one of their last seven and are are languishing in 11th place.
