Harry Redknapp reveals that he would not prevent assistant Joe Jordan from leaving QPR to take the vacant Scotland post.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he would not try to prevent Joe Jordan from taking the vacant Scotland post.

Former Spurs boss Redknapp took charge of the Hoops last week following the sacking of Mark Hughes, and has claimed that both Jordan and Kevin Bond, with whom he worked at White Hart Lane, have recently joined his Loftus Road staff.

Jordan had previously been mooted as a possible successor to dismissed Scotland manager Craig Levein and Redknapp has said that he would be happy for Jordan to leave if he were offered the position.

"I think Joe was probably interested. They haven't done anything yet," said Redknapp.

"If they came calling it would be up to Joe, it's his life. If he said to me he wanted to manage Scotland I'm not going to argue with him, that's for sure.

"Joe's a good man, a top man. I'm pleased to have him and Kevin here. Kevin and Joe are all sorted."

Jordan won 52 caps for Scotland as a player between 1973 and 1982, scoring 11 goals.
