Former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has claimed that the club should appoint Chris Morgan following Nigel Clough's sacking.
A 7-6 aggregate defeat to Swindon Town in the League One playoff semi-final was enough to convince the Blades to part company with Clough, and Warnock, who insists that he is not interested in returning to Bramall Lane, believes Morgan can step up from his role on the coaching staff.
"I would like them to give it to Chris Morgan," he told talkSPORT. "He has been there or thereabouts, he has taken his coaching badges and he knows the situation.
"If I could help Chris, I would do."
Morgan has spent two spells as the club's caretaker manager in the past.
