Sheffield United are reportedly interested in signing Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old striker, who only joined Hibs last summer for £250,000 from Dunfermline, has had a brilliant start to the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 12 goals in all competitions.

The Sun reports that Chris Wilder is keeping tabs on the Scotsman and is looking to reinforce his forward line which has only scored eight Premier League goals this season, the lowest in the division.

The Blades boss has used six strikers in league matches this campaign, with top goalscorer David McGoldrick – who has four goals – along with Oli McBurnie and Billy Sharp the only forwards to find the back of the net.

Frenchman Lys Mousset has been injured for the majority of this season but did start his first game in the defeat to Burnley, while club-record signing Rhian Brewster and new recruit Oliver Burke are also yet to score.

Wilder is now considering a January overhaul to his squad, who are currently 11 points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League, but may have to look for low-cost alternatives after spending big last summer.

Hibs manager Jack Ross will be keen to keep hold of Nisbet, but the striker may be tempted to leave the Edinburgh outfit if an offer is placed by Sheffield United.
