Sports Mole's Championship Team of the Week

Sports Mole picks out its best XI, biggest numpty and best goal for gameweek 14 in the Championship.

It's all getting very bunched up at the top of the Championship after 14 games of the season.

Just five points separate the top 10, with Derby County, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers level on 26 points at the summit.

Bournemouth were the big winners on Saturday, hammering hapless and managerless Birmingham City 8-0 at St Andrew's to move up to fourth place.

Down at the bottom, Blackpool are now seven points adrift of safety after their 10th defeat of the season.

Here, Sports Mole chooses its best XI from the weekend, in a traditional 4-4-2 formation, as well as highlighting the biggest numpty and best goal.

Keiren Westwood (Sheffield Wednesday)
Westwood made a number of saves, including one incredible stop to deny a Cameron Jerome header, as Wednesday held Norwich City to a stalemate at Hillsborough.

Simon Francis (Bournemouth)
A second week in a row here for Francis, who set up two of Bournemouth's eight goals and won the penalty for the sixth.
Dan Burn (Fulham)
Fulham moved further clear of the drop zone by easing past Charlton Athletic on Friday night and Burn was key to the home side keeping a clean sheet.
Danny Shittu (Millwall)
Millwall won their first game since August against in-form Cardiff City on Saturday lunchtime and it was returning skipper Shittu who scored the vital goal with a towering header.
Jordan Obita (Reading)
Obita sent over a lovely cross for the Reading opener as they piled more misery on Blackpool.

James McClean (Wigan Athletic)
The Irishman came off the bench to score twice and earn Wigan an unlikely win at league leaders Derby.
James Henry (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Wolves' main threat at Elland Road due to the absence of Bakary Sako, Henry smashed home the equaliser to start the visitors' comeback against Leeds United.
Neil Danns (Bolton Wanderers)
Bolton have won two of the three games they've had under Neil Lennon, with Danns rocketing home the opener in the 3-1 win over Brentford.
Marc Pugh (Bournemouth)
Pugh scored a second-half hat-trick, the first of his career, in the Cherries' rout of Birmingham.

Hugo Rodallega (Fulham)
Two assured finishes by the former Wigan man in the 3-0 victory over Charlton.
Nahki Wells (Huddersfield Town)
The Terriers fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point at Ipswich Town and had Wells to thank for both goals.

Numpty of the Week

Darren Randolph: Already a goal and a man down, the last thing Birmingham needed is for their goalkeeper to miscue his clearance and gift Bournemouth a second. Had he not done so, the Blues might not have been humiliated.

Goal of the Week

Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn Rovers) vs. Nottingham Forest: Blackburn inflicted a first home defeat of the season on Forest and victory was sealed by Rhodes's calmness in front of goal. He capitalised on Michael Mancienne's misjudgement before using his quick feet to open up a shooting opportunity and slot into the far corner.
