Ten-man Yeovil Town rescue point

Joe Ralls's second-half strike rescues a point for Yeovil Town after Atdhe Nuhiu had given Sheffield Wednesday a first-half lead.

Sheffield Wednesday are still without a win after six Championship games, despite Yeovil Town playing almost an hour with 10 men.

Atdhe Nuhiu gave the home side the lead before Byron Webster was shown a straight red card for punching the striker, but Joe Ralls rescued a point for the away side.

The game started quietly, with neither team able to carve out clear-cut chances, although Michail Antonio headed over from Liam Palmer's right-wing cross after a quarter of an hour.

The home side scored only their sixth goal of the season in the 25th minute, although the away side were far from happy that it was allowed to stand.

Antonio, playing in a slightly withdrawn role behind the lone striker Nuhiu, raced past the Yeovil defence and laid a square ball into the path of the six foot four inch forward, who tapped into an empty net.

Yeovil argued long and hard that the Austrian striker was offside but the protests fell on deaf ears.

With less than five minutes to go until half time, a mass brawl erupted on the pitch as players from both sides waded in.

As the players dispersed, Webster was shown a straight red card for violent conduct to leave his side with an uphill battle in the second half.

However, the home side were unable to take advantage of their one-man advantage in the second half, as Yeovil controlled proceedings after the break.

Joe Ralls, on loan from Cardiff City, controlled the ball and jinked past a defender before guiding a smart finish beyond the reach of Chris Kirkland to give his side their first point since August 3.
