Report: Carlos Carvalhal given one game to save job at Sheffield Wednesday

Carvalhal to be sacked if Owls lose to Wolves?

Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal is reportedly facing the sack if the Owls fail to beat Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night.

Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly given manager Carlos Carvalhal one game to save his job.

The Owls are without a win in their last five matches, having fallen to a 3-1 defeat at Norwich City last weekend.

Up next for Wednesday is Friday's Championship home fixture with table-topping Wolverhampton Wanderers, a game in which Carvalhal will be serving a touchline ban.

According to the Birmingham Mail, defeat to Wolves at Hillsborough could see Carvalhal sacked after two-and-a-half years in the job.

Wednesday lie 14th in the Championship table on 27 points, 10 points behind city rivals Sheffield United in sixth place.
