Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly planning to send out striker Jordan Rhodes on loan next season in a bid to help him rediscover his form.
The 28-year-old became the club's £10m record signing when he joined from Middlesbrough last summer following prolific stints with Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town in the second and third tiers of English football.
The Scotland international has failed to make much of an impact at Hillsborough, however, scoring just four goals in 28 games for the Owls.
According to The Sun, Wednesday have decided to cut their losses and send him out on loan at the end of the season in a bid to cut out most or all of his wages, which are thought to be north of £35,000 a week.
The newspaper claims that Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town are potentially interested in the striker, as are Bolton Wanderers if they manage to survive in the Championship this season.
Wednesday finished fourth in the Championship last season but have had a torrid time this term and currently sit 17th in the table, eight points above the dropzone.
