Connor Wickham has left Sunderland to join Sheffield Wednesday on a one-month loan deal.
The England Under-21 international has struggled for regular first-team appearances at the Stadium of Light this season and he fell further down the pecking order as the Black Cats signed Danny Graham from Swansea City on deadline day.
The 19-year-old, who signed for Sunderland from Ipswich Town in 2011, has scored just two goals in 28 appearances for the Premier League club.
Wickham is expected to go straight into the Sheffield Wednesday squad to face Derby County on Saturday.
