Southampton's Adam Lallana "confident" ahead of Tottenham Hotspur battle

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana is "confident" heading into this weekend's clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana believes that he and his teammates are capable of clinching all three points in their clash against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday.

The Saints, who secured a 4-2 win over Norwich City last weekend, are currently eighth in the Premier League table.

The England international has also called on his teammates to take advantage of the fact that Spurs are competing in their crucial Europa League second leg against Benfica tonight.

"We're relaxed and confident I think," Lallana told the club's official website. "It wasn't the greatest performance last weekend, but we got the job done and we'll take that result and the confidence that comes with it into the game on Sunday against Tottenham which is a massive, winnable game for us.

"They've got a tough fixture on Thursday night, so we want to take advantage of that and put them up against it from the first minute."

Spurs currently reside fifth in the league table.
