Matt Le Tissier: 'Saints have done a lot of good business"

Matt Le Tissier believes that Southampton have "done a lot of good business" during the transfer window this summer.

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier believes that the club have done "a lot of good business" during the summer transfer window.

The Saints have sold Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Calum Chambers and Luke Shaw since the end of last season.

Le Tissier told Sky Sports News: "The club have done a lot of good business in terms of the prices we've got for the players.

"If the players are agitating to leave, your job then is to get the right price for them."

Ronald Koeman has purchased eight signings since arriving at St Mary's, including Graziano Pelle, Dusan Tadic, Ryan Bertrand, Saphir Taider, Fraser Forster, Shane Long and Florin Gardos.

Koeman's latest recruit Gardos will be unavailable for the tie against Liverpool on Sunday due to an injury picked up in pre-season training.
