Nigel Adkins praises his goalscorers during Southampton's 4-1 victory over Birmingham City.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins was pleased with his side's finishing during their 4-1 victory over Birmingham City this afternoon.

The boss hailed his four different goalscorers as Guly, Adam Lallana, and Richard Chaplow added to Rickie Lambert's opener from the penalty spot on ten minutes.

"We scored four very good goals today," he told the club's official website.

"David Connolly has scored another right at the end which wasn't offside but the linesman gave it unfortunately.

"They were all good goals that we scored - Frazer Richardson storming down the right hand side linking up well with Guly, another great cross for Adam Lallana, and then the final goal from Richard Chaplow was a great goal at a great time."

Adkins has now been in charge of the Saints for a year.
