Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino: 'We were superior to Norwich City'

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino admits that his side lost focus late during their 4-2 win over Norwich City.

Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Southampton were superior to Norwich City during their 4-2 victory over the Canaries in the Premier League.

The Saints boss admits that his side lost focus at the back after taking a three-goal lead and took the win for granted.

"We were leading the game 3-0 and had it in control but we suffered a bit at the end," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"In football nothing is finished until the final whistle. We lacked focus at the back and you can't take anything for granted in the Premier League.

"We were far superior to Norwich throughout the game and we were playing against a very good team."

The win moves Southampton up to eighth in the table, while Norwich occupy the 15th spot.
