Charlie Austin will lead the Southampton line in their Premier League clash with Burnley at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon.

Charlie Austin will lead the Southampton line in their Premier League clash with Burnley at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon.

Danny Ings joined the Saints from Liverpool on transfer deadline day, but the centre-forward is among the substitutes as head coach Mark Hughes chooses Nathan Redmond to support Austin.

Elsewhere, there are Premier League debuts for Stuart Armstrong and Jannik Vestergaard in what looks to be a 5-3-2 formation for the home side this afternoon.

As for Burnley, Joe Hart made his debut for the club in the Europa League on Thursday night, and the England international keeps his spot between the sticks for this match.

Fellow new arrival Ben Gibson is again on the bench as James Tarkowski and Ben Mee start as the two centre-backs, while Chris Wood returns at centre-forward having missed the goalless draw with Istanbul Basaksehir due to an infected insect bite.

Southampton: McCarthy; Cedric, Stephens, Vestergaard, Hoedt, Bertrand; Romeu, Lemina, Armstrong; Redmond, Austin
Subs: Gunn, Bednarek, Højbjerg, Ward-Prowse, Elyounoussi, Ings, Gabbiadini

Burnley: Hart; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward; Lennon, Cork, Hendrick, Westwood, Gudmundsson; Wood
