Ronald Koeman: 'We need another attacking player'

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman insists that the team could do with signing another attacking player before the transfer window closes.

Ronald Koeman has revealed that Southampton will be attempting to add another attacking player to their squad before the transfer window closes.

The Saints have lost a number of players over the summer, and have secured just one point from their first two matches of the Premier League season.

With just over a week remaining before transfer deadline day, Koeman told Sky Sports News: "We need more running players from the midfield, [Graziano Pelle] can't do it by himself. But in the final pass it wasn't good enough today.

"We are always trying to bring good players in. I think we could use another attacking player because on the wings, maybe we have a shortlist there."

Southampton were held to a goalless draw by West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
