Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is "extremely happy" with his side's performance during Thursday's goalless draw with Lazio in the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that he is "extremely happy" with his side's performance in Thursday's 0-0 draw with Lazio in the Europa League.

Spurs had three goals disallowed at White Hart Lane as they started their European campaign with a point against the Italians.

"I think we did enough to get the win today," Villas-Boas told ITV Sport. "I am extremely happy with the performance and the effort that the players put in.

"It shows that we are on the right track to giving something back to the fans. We were superior against a team that is doing extremely well. We can be happy with that performance."

Tottenham return to Premier League action on Sunday when they host Queens Park Rangers.
