Cristian Chivu: 'Nothing to lose against Tottenham Hotspur'

Cristian Chivu says that Inter Milan will head into their Europa League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday with "nothing to lose".

Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu has insisted that his side can beat Tottenham Hotspur at the San Siro on Thursday and progress to the Europa League quarter-finals.

The Italian club lost the first leg of their last-16 tie 3-0 at White Hart Lane in London last week.

"We have this game to play and we'll go into it with nothing to lose," he told Sky Italia.

"It'll be tough but we'll give it our best shot by building up our self-confidence and courage, which have been lacking.

"We're all going to pull in the same direction and that goes for everyone: players, coaching staff, directors and fans."

Inter will head into Thursday's game on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.
