Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Besiktas

Sports Mole previews Thursday's clash between Spurs and Besiktas in the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur can get their Europa League campaign up and running on Thursday when they welcome Besiktas to White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino's side head into the Group C encounter having drawn their opening game of the competition away to Partizan two weeks ago.

Besiktas, who are managed by former West Ham United defender Slaven Bilic, are also on one point after being held by Greek minnows Asteras Tripolis last time out.

When it comes to domestic form, the Turks are currently flying high in the Super Lig with eight points out of a possible 12, putting them in second place in the table.

In contrast, a stuttering start to the season has left Tottenham languishing in eighth position in the Premier League standings.

The hosts have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, though a number of changes could be made to their starting XI following last weekend's 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Mustafa Pektemek is a doubt for Besiktas, who are likely to field former Chelsea striker Demba Ba in their lineup.
