Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Man City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to bounce back from their dramatic FA Cup defeat at Everton when they make the journey to the Etihad Stadium to take on Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Jose Mourinho's side had ended their winless run at the weekend by beating West Bromwich Albion, but the Portuguese boss witnessed his side come up short again as Everton edged a nine-goal thriller 5-4 in extra time on Wednesday night.

One piece of silverware has now passed Tottenham by this season, and any talk of a Premier League title challenge has evaporated in recent weeks, with Spurs eighth in the table and 14 points behind Saturday's opponents Man City.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Gareth Bale

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Man City)

Gareth Bale's underwhelming return to Tottenham continued in midweek as he missed out the defeat to Everton due to some muscular discomfort. Mourinho reported that the Welshman chose to work with the club's sport scientists in order to overcome the problem, but it would be a surprise to see him start this game even if fully fit.

Sergio Reguilon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: February 21 (vs. West Ham United)

Mourinho conceded that Sergio Reguilon had "no chance" of lining up against Everton, and the full-back is not expected to return to the field for another couple of weeks.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso continues to nurse a hamstring problem he sustained against Leicester City back in December, and the Argentinian midfielder is not expected to be back until March at the earliest.

Serge Aurier

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Tottenham)

Serge Aurier limped off with a calf problem against West Brom and did not make the trip to Goodison Park on Wednesday. Matt Doherty may be in for a taxing evening at right-back if Aurier does not recover in time for Saturday.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
